"Modern Ekphrasis"
To me, the contemporary abstract painter Joost de Jonge, writing poetry was in my nature & like a second art so to speak. I combined my paintings and poetry since the nineties. Reading Dr. Emily Bilman's "Modern Ekphrasis" really got me going and I felt a strong urge to start a new dialogue. So I invited some of my idols from Today's world of poetry to join in and I was so grateful to find some of the greatest minds willing to participate.
Let me list all of them here:
Dinah Berland, Emily Bilman, Peter Clothier, Norman Dubie, Peter Frank, John Fuller, Joy Harjo, Juliën Holtrigter, Robert C. Morgan, Saul Ostrow, Robert Wynne…
This weebly website is an introduction to my upcoming publication "Painted Poetry & Painterly Poetics; an ekphrastic notion".
A link to it will follow later on in this year.
http://www.paintedpoetry.org this is the link to the website with the book, an accessible ebook online!
I've created this mainly to give an insight, more specifically into my motivations. I wish you will enjoy it.
Artist Joost de Jonge committed himself to an exploration of ekphrasis.
Thank you for your attention.
